Career coaching is an exciting field that requires empathy, energy and a strong drive to make a difference. As a career coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career.

You will work closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way. This may involve building strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths, and support needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. You will also need to be knowledgeable about disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
  • Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group-based activities.
  • Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
  • Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
  • Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
