About the role

As a Tour Operator at Global backpackers', you will be responsible for providing a exceptional travel experiences for our adventurous guests. This full-time role is based in our lively Cairns office, where you will work closely with our team to create unforgettable tours and excursions in and around the beautiful Tropical North Queensland region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing and delivering engaging, immersive tour packages for our guests
  2. Arranging all logistical aspects of tours, from transportation to accommodation
  3. Liaising with local tour providers, activity operators and other suppliers to curate the best experiences
  4. Providing exceptional customer service to ensure our guests have an amazing time
  5. Promoting our tour offerings to attract new and returning customers
  6. Continuously researching and evaluating new tour opportunities to expand our portfolio
  7. Maintaining detailed records and reporting on tour performance

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a tour operator or travel consultant role
  2. Strong knowledge of the Cairns and Tropical North Queensland region, its attractions and activities
  3. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  4. Creative problem-solving abilities and a flexible, adaptable approach
  5. Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  6. Passion for adventure travel and sharing the wonders of the region
