About the opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity to join the leadership team, as a trusted advisor to the Deputy Secretary, Infrastructure and Asset Management Division / Chief Executive, Health Infrastructure. You'll help shape strategic priorities, drive high-impact initiatives, and ensure the seamless operations of a fast-paced executive office. With oversight of one of the largest health infrastructure portfolios in the country, your advice and coordination will influence decisions that directly impact patients, communities, and enable the effective delivery of NSW Health's capital program.

Leading a high-performing team, you'll provide critical executive and administrative support while acting as the central coordination point for matters requiring the Deputy Secretary/Chief Executive's attention. This role calls for a strategic thinker, solutions focused leader with exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex policy, planning, and operational challenges. This is a full-time ongoing position. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you

You will use your strategic insight and sound judgement to provide high-level advice and support on complex matters spanning policy, planning and operations involving the Infrastructure and Asset Management Division within the Ministry of Health, and Health Infrastructure.

Drawing on your strong organisational and leadership skills, you will lead the Office of the Deputy Secretary and Chief Executive, ensuring seamless coordination of priorities, projects, and communications across the Ministry of Health and Health Infrastructure.

You should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with senior executives, and managing relationships across government and the broader health system.
