We're seeking a proactive and hands-on Packaging Team Leader to lead and support a team of packaging operators in a fast-paced production environment. This role ensures packaging lines run efficiently and safely, while meeting daily targets across quality, cost, and delivery. You'll be responsible for coordinating people, materials, and processes to ensure performance is optimised across your shift.

Your Impact

We're seeking a proactive and hands-on Packaging Team Leader to lead and support a team of packaging operators in a fast-paced production environment at our Yatala site. This role ensures packaging lines run efficiently and safely, while meeting daily targets across quality, cost, and delivery. You'll be responsible for coordinating people, materials, and processes to ensure performance is optimised across your shift.

Please note: This role will involve rotating 12-hour shifts across Days and Nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to deliver production plans, ensuring safety, quality, and output targets are met
  • Monitor packaging line performance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime
  • Manage shift resourcing, team development, and labour cost control
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety standards
  • Complete shift reports, inspections, and quality documentation accurately
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support site performance goals

About You

You're a natural leader with a solid understanding of packaging operations and a strong focus on people and performance. You thrive in a dynamic environment and lead by example with a can-do attitude and attention to detail.

You will have:

  • Experience in FMCG or high-speed packaging operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, and safety practices
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
