Opera Bar is under new management and we are on the lookout for a standout Guest Experience Officer to be the warm, confident face of our venue — someone who thrives on connection, keeps the vibe high, and always finds the little ways to go above and beyond.

More than just greeting guests, you'll be the heartbeat of the floor: calming when needed, anticipating what's next, and making sure every guest leaves feeling seen, supported, and a little bit wowed.

What your day could look like:

  • Setting the tone from the moment doors open — energy up, team aligned, vibe immaculate
  • Welcoming guests with warmth and genuine hospitality
  • Reading the room and stepping in to de-escalate before an issue escalates
  • Making regulars feel like VIPs and new faces feel like old friends
  • Communicating clearly with the floor, door, and management teams to keep everything flowing
  • Picking up on the small details — from menu assistance to birthday surprises
  • Sharing the Opera Bar story and giving guests something to talk about

What we're looking for:

  • A confident, calm and polished communicator — in person, on the phone, and over email
  • Someone with a natural flair for hospitality and storytelling
  • Able to hold your own in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Current NSW RSA
  • Drama student, performer or hospitality superstar — all backgrounds welcome, as long as you bring great energy and presence
