We are working with a leading national law firm known for its practical, value-driven approach and high-quality work across the corporate and commercial space.

The Team

The Corporate & Commercial team in Sydney works with a wide range of clients across the private capital ecosystem, providing strategic, technically robust advice across all stages of the investment lifecycle. The team has a strong focus on venture capital and start-up transactions, acting for investors, early-stage companies, and founders.

The Role

An exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will work on venture capital and corporate transactions, advise on capital raisings, investment structuring, M&A, and corporate governance, and have direct client exposure. This role offers genuine responsibility, visibility to clients, and a high-calibre pipeline of innovative, fast-moving work.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • 3–6 years' post-admission experience in corporate, venture capital, or advisory work
  • Experience advising on capital raisings, M&A, and/or investment structuring
  • A strong interest in the start-up and VC space with a commercial, pragmatic mindset
  • Excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, and confidence to work directly with clients
  • A collaborative approach and interest in growing a specialised practice within a national firm
