The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions lawyer to join a global leader in building materials and sustainable construction solutions. Working within a high-performing in-house legal team, this role will support a range of strategic corporate initiatives and transactions through the summer period.

You will play a key role in advising on end-to-end M&A matters, including due diligence, term sheets, transaction documentation, and regulatory engagement with FIRB and the ACCC. This position offers exposure to complex, high-value deals within a major multinational organisation, where you'll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external advisers to deliver successful commercial outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • At least 9+ years PQE in corporate, M&A, or transactional work gained in a top-tier, mid-tier, or reputable in-house environment.
  • Strong experience across due diligence, term sheets, deal documents, and regulatory processes (including FIRB and ACCC).
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially minded and capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Availability from November through to the end of February.
  • Based in Sydney with capacity to work onsite four days per week (full-time preferred, open to four days).
