YOUR ROLE

As part of the Group Finance team within the Finance, Infrastructure and Digital (FID) Directorate, you'll be responsible for leading the preparation of consolidated financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing key month-end and year-end processes. This role will suit an experienced financial professional who thrives in a complex environment and values collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead preparation and delivery of consolidated financial reporting for MACS Board and executive.
• Manage head office month-end and year-end accounting close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee group-wide financial transactions, intercompany accounting, and compliance with AASB standards (15, 16, 1058).
• Provide technical accounting advice and guidance across MACS.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
• Mentor junior finance team members and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

ABOUT YOU

• Degree in Commerce, Business, or Accounting (CA/CPA qualified).
• Proven experience preparing statutory consolidated financial statements for large or complex organisations.
• Deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB 15, 16, 1058).
• Advanced Excel and financial system skills (SAP experience highly regarded).
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to MACS' values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.
