About the Role

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance and Commercial Manager in delivering accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and leading the accounts payable function. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to driving improvements and efficiencies across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis
  • Manage cash flow, payroll analysis, and fixed asset register
  • Ensure compliance with BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and other statutory obligations
  • Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and FX hedging activities
  • Coordinate audit requirements and maintain financial controls
  • Drive process improvements and partner with internal stakeholders
Skills and Experience
  • Relevant degree in accounting or finance and CPA/CA qualification
  • Proven experience in financial accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
