About the Opportunity

A leading Australian fast-moving manufactured goods group is seeking a Group Executive – Finance & Commercial (GEFC) to lead its next phase of strategic and operational transformation.

This newly created role sits above the CFO and unites finance, procurement, pricing, and analytics into a single performance-driven function. You'll bring financial discipline, commercial judgement, and strategic foresight to a rapidly scaling national business.

The GEFC will ensure financial reporting, procurement, and commercial decision-making are aligned — driving profitable growth through insight, efficiency, and execution.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead all group finance, procurement, and commercial functions, ensuring alignment between cost control, pricing, and profitability targets.
  • Partner with business leaders to design and implement customer pricing frameworks that are evidence-based and market-responsive.
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Data Scientist to embed analytics, predictive modelling, and commercial dashboards that translate data into decision-making tools.
  • Drive procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives across raw materials and packaging.
  • Integrate financial reporting, budgeting, and performance KPIs into a unified decision-support architecture.
You're a Great Fit If You Have
  • Extensive leadership experience in the fast-moving manufactured goods (FMMG or FMCG) sector — ideally within food, packaging, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Proven success in linking financial and operational data to pricing, procurement, and commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capability in customer pricing, cost-base management, supply-chain optimisation, and commercial analytics.
  • A strong understanding of financial reporting, FP&A, and strategic performance frameworks.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA are highly regarded.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, influencing skills, and experience engaging at board or investor level.
