The Role
Riello-UPS Australia is currently in a growth phase and subsequently looking for an experienced Service Technician to play a key role in our Service Department.
The primary responsibility of this varied role will be the provision of technical expertise in respect to the repair, maintenance and commissioning of critical power infrastructure specifically our Uninterruptible Power Supply portfolio. Working at multiple client sites across the Sydney metropolitan area, regional NSW and interstate locations, you will become part of a team that provides outstanding service and support to our clients. Some overseas travel may also be involved either for training or to carry out servicing.
Main duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Execute and complete routine and remedial service work on UPS systems.
- Assist with project supervision and liaise with our key customers.
- Complete service reports and quotations manually and electronically.
- Complete on site assembly, installation and commissioning works when required.

For you to be successful for this role you must have the following:
- A full electrical licence.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- A current passport or the preparedness to obtain one.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Rational thinking.
- Experience with power electronics, preferably with UPS equipment but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Sound computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Be able to read and interpret technical specifications, electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
- Be a good listener, have strong English writing and speaking communication skills and be capable of coordinating technical discussions.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to travel, work after hours and weekends when required.
- Be able to quickly learn, retain and apply product information as it pertains to the position.
- Have excellent time management, organisational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
- A good level of physical fitness.
- Be willing to submit to police, customer specific security and medical checks.
- Be able to demonstrate a responsible and dependable attitude.
