Are you passionate about helping young people thrive? Merriwa Community Services (MCS) is seeking compassionate individuals to support young people in out-of-home care. If you're studying or planning to study Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work, or a similar field, this is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful difference.

The Role: Disability Youth Engagement & Development Worker

As a Disability Youth Engagement and Development Worker, you'll support young people with:

Navigating daily routines (including personal care)

Managing emotional and behavioural challenges

Building confidence, independence and life skills

Staying connected with their community and support networks

What We're Looking For:

Strong communication skills and emotional resilience

Willingness to provide personal care and follow routines

Team-first mindset, empathy and professionalism

Studying or qualified in a relevant field (Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family, Disability, or similar)

Valid WWCC, Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening

Full driver's license

Bonus Points For:

Experience supporting youth with disability or trauma

Knowledge of the Therapeutic Care Model

Background in community services, youth work, or allied health

Familiarity with care planning and relevant legislation
