**About the role - Max Term Part-Time Tues to Thurs 8:30am-4:30pm**
As a Youth Worker, you will support disengaged young people aged 13-17 to reconnect with education and work towards achieving their SACE. You’ll manage a caseload of up to 25 clients, providing individual support, facilitating group activities, and developing tailored case plans. The role involves close collaboration with families, schools, and community stakeholders, and requires a trauma-informed approach, accurate reporting, and a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and flexible learning environment.
- Key responsibilities_ will include, but will not be limited to:_
- Delivering one-on-one case management to support young people in re-engaging with education and achieving their goals.
- Planning and facilitating group activities that build wellbeing, social skills, and community connection.
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated support.

You are a compassionate and motivated professional with a genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their potential. You thrive in a flexible, team-oriented environment and bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to your work. Your strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and ability to build trust enable you to engage effectively with young people, families, and stakeholders.
- You will also have the following skills and experience:_
- VET Certificate IV or Diploma of Youth Work or Youth Justice.
- Evidence of case management experience of more than 1 year.
- Evidence of experience of minimum 1 year of working with young people in a learning environment or similar.
- Ability to work with others, families, young people, and stakeholders within the Department of Education systems.
- Demonstration of clear and effective communication skills, including written and verbal.
