About the role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a high performing team at Charlestown Toyota as the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager. We are Australia's Number 1 Toyota Dealer Our team has been successful in achieving back-to-back honours as Australian Toyota Metro Dealer of the year for 2023 and 2024 which is a massive testament to the success of our business and the winning culture of our team.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and growing the pre-owned vehicle sales team at our Gateshead location. Your strategic leadership and strong sales expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our pre-owned vehicle business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and motivate a team of pre-owned vehicle sales professionals to achieve exceptional sales results
  2. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase pre-owned vehicle sales and profitability
  3. Analyse market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth
  4. Ensure the pre-owned vehicle inventory is optimised to meet customer demand
  5. Provide hands-on coaching and training to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance
  6. Foster a positive and customer-focused sales culture within the team
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
  8. Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience in a sales management role within the automotive industry, preferably in pre-owned vehicle sales or an experienced pre-owned vehicle sales consultant or assistant manager who is ready to step up into the challenge of a management role.
  2. Proven track record of leading and motivating a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious targets or a proven track record as a high performing sales consultant
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues in all departments of our business and other businesses within our group
  4. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective sales strategies
  5. Strong negotiation and customer service skills with a high level of customer satisfaction
  6. Passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience
