As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic management of all aspects of McMahon Services' projects, from pre-contract to execution and close-out. You will ensure project success by effectively managing people and processes to deliver on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

About the Role
Reporting to Senior Management, you will oversee the full lifecycle management of assigned projects. This role requires a hands-on approach to leading project teams and a strategic mindset to drive business process improvements. You will work across both Adelaide metro and regional SA project areas, tackling complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
What You Will Do
- Strategic & Operational Leadership
: Monitor project progress and make high-level adjustments to staffing, resources, and finances to align with broader business goals. - Commercial, Procurement, and Contract Management
: Take a leadership role in contracts management, overseeing all aspects from RFI and variation approvals to negotiations and subcontractor performance reviews. - Team & Staff Management
: Provide visible, hands-on leadership, mentoring and motivating the project team to ensure adherence to project objectives and company values. - Financial Management
: Apply analytic ability to control costs, monitor productivity, and reliably forecast costs to completion, ensuring the project maintains a positive cash flow. - Risk & Quality Management
: Design and implement risk mitigation plans and perform overall quality control, ensuring compliance with safety standards and legislative requirements. - Stakeholder Relations
: Manage and maintain strong relationships with key senior external clients and all stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed effectively.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 7-10 years of proven experience in major construction/infrastructure project delivery, preferably in the Civil Engineering space.
- A recognised degree in an engineering discipline or other relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience in major projects contract administration and management.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and Health and Safety legislation.
- Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems and project management platforms.
- A strong safety focus and a "big-picture" thinking approach.

- A strong safety and security focus with in-depth knowledge of health, safety, and defence compliance legislation.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance.
- Experience in regional South Australia or working with defence agencies is a distinct advantage.
