Join a leading independent girls' school known for its welcoming community and supportive culture. We are currently seeking an organised, professional, and caring candidate to cover Student Reception during a staff absence. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced school environment and thrives on being the friendly face at the front desk.

About the Role

Working as part of a small, close-knit team, you'll be the first point of contact for students, staff, visitors, and parents. Each day will bring variety, from managing the reception area and answering enquiries to monitoring student attendance and providing basic first aid support to students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, staff, and students in a warm and professional manner
  • Monitoring daily student attendance and recording absences using Synergetic
  • Responding to student needs at reception and in the sick bay (dispensing approved medication such as Panadol/Nurofen when required)
  • Handling calls, emails, deliveries, and general administrative support
  • Liaising with teachers and the Deputy Head regarding attendance and student welfare
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation and approvals are up to date

Location: Hawthorn, VIC | Free onsite Parking available

Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday - Friday. 

Start: Immediate

You'll be supported by the head of campus, and there is always assistance available, you'll never be on your own in the role.

About You

You are a confident and capable administrator who enjoys working with young people and contributing to a positive school environment. You have excellent communication skills, a calm and professional approach, and can manage multiple tasks at once while keeping a smile on your face.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (school experience highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational and computer skills (experience with Synergetic or similar systems ideal)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (essential to administer medication as required)
  • A valid Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • The ability to start immediately and commit for the duration of the assignment

You must have a current valid WWCC and valid First Aid and CPR certification to be successful in this role
