At Southern End Support, we provide high-quality, person-centered disability support services across Albany and surrounding areas. We are passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals—with respect, compassion, and dignity.
We're currently seeking dedicated, caring Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you'll provide essential care and assistance tailored to each participant's needs, including:
- Personal care and medication support
- Meal preparation and help with household tasks
- Community access – supporting social activities, appointments, and outings
- Following individual support plans to promote independence
- Accurately recording daily activities and ensuring duty of care
- This role is located and based in ALBANY WA This is not a remote role
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities this includes children - this is a must
- A willingness to work and show up with a positive, can-do attitude. We're looking for someone with the flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, respectful nature
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Not afraid of Technology - Comfortable using a mobile app to input detailed, above-standard participant notes in line with company policies.
- Physically fit to assist with mobility and manual handling tasks
- A proactive and empathetic attitude. A desire to learn, be trained, and grow in an exciting and dynamic industry is a must - Want to learn, we want you
- RELIABLE; Be the teammate everyone can count on — reliability is the backbone of our success; this is the main ingredient of our team
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Manual Handling and hoisting experience
- Current First Aid & CPR or willingness to obtain (Required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Required)
- Driver's licence (Required)
- Availability to work across a 24/7 roster, including overnights (sleepovers) and weekends
- WWCC or willing to obtain (Required)
- A willingness to work with individuals of all ages, including children, is a must for this role
