With over 50 years of industry experience, Northbourne Group has earned a reputation for delivering seamless, safe, and spectacular events – from boutique activations to major music festivals. We've proudly produced events for clients including Spilt Milk, Falls Festival, Good Things, Knotfest, Riverstage Brisbane, Wahroonga Food & Wine Festival, Sydney World Pride and more.

We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Event Manager to join our close-knit team on a 12-month full-time contract. Reporting to the National Operations Manager (NOM) you'll play a hands-on role in planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality events that run smoothly, safely, and on budget.

Your Role Will Include:
  • Supporting the NOM in the planning and execution of event operations
  • Managing all event permits, compliance, stakeholder communications, and documentation
  • Preparing event management documents (e.g. Risk Plans, Vendor Management Plans)
  • Maintaining version control, systems, and reporting for event plans and actions
  • Leading on-site execution and supporting onsite staff management
  • Managing supplier relationships and maintaining project budgets
  • Supporting continuous improvement via post-event debriefs and reporting
  • Occasional interstate travel and onsite shifts, particularly during event season
You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of event or operations management experience
  • Strong understanding of the events industry, compliance, and documentation
  • Great interpersonal skills – able to build strong relationships with suppliers & teammates
  • Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and Excel skills
  • Calm under pressure, highly organised, and solutions-focused
  • Passion for the music/events industry and willingness to work non-traditional hours
  • RSA Certificate (VIC, NSW, QLD) – or willingness to obtain
  • Forklift ticket / NSW Licensee/Approved Manager accreditation (a bonus but not essential)
