Sales Representative – Spare Parts and Technical Services

We are seeking a dedicated Spare Parts Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with technical support, diagnosing and interpreting spare part requirements for our equipment range. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in identifying operating practices to prevent future technical issues, as well as recognizing upselling and growth opportunities within the spare parts market. This position may involve attendance on customer visits and field days as required, with occasional overnight and interstate travel necessary to facilitate these responsibilities.

About the role - Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell spare parts, and servicing solutions.
  • Diagnose and interpret spare part requirements for customers.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring timely conversion into orders.
  • Identify operating practices to prevent future technical issues.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, or warranty claims.
  • Recognize upselling and growth opportunities within the spare parts market.

What you bring to the team - Required knowledge and skills:

  • Depth and breadth of mechanical and 12-volt electrical understanding
  • Ability to work well with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail
  • High customer service focus
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ideal knowledge and experience:

  • Good understanding of small engines, agricultural pumps and auto electrics.
  • Technical ability and understanding of agricultural equipment and markets.
  • Experience with order processing and inventory management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Year 10 or higher, or TAFE qualification or traineeship
  • Valid driver's license
