The Role: Trust Accountant – Your Adventure Starts Here

As our Trust Accountant, you'll take ownership of financial accuracy, making sure our property owners are always in safe hands. From daily reconciliations to basic bookkeeping services, you'll keep our fast-paced business running smoothly.

Your role will include:

  • Trust Accounting: Managing owner and guest accounts with precision.
  • Payments: Processing cancellations, pay invoices and keeping track of guest payments.
  • Reconciliation: Ensuring timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly bank rec.
  • Compliance: Keeping your role aligned with industry trust accounting best practice and working closely with the auditors
  • Owner Communication: Providing property owners with clear, accurate financial statements and answering questions relating to client earnings.
  • Process Improvement: Helping streamline our financial systems as we grow, be interested in new technology and smarter/efficient ways of working.

For the right candidate your role will include:

  • Bookkeeping: Basic book keeping, Payroll, Preparing BAS & GST reporting and payments.
  • Guest Communication: Helping answer guest questions prior to arrival, help guests find the right property for their stay and facilitating any additional services or hired items in a bright and warm manner that makes guests feel excited to stay with Khove.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Real Estate Registration or desire to obtain
  • Prior experience in trust accounting or real estate/holiday rental accounting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and impeccable accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems (experience with trust accounting software Hirum & Guesty is a plus and Xero).
