You will be an experienced Regional Business Development Manager able to strengthen our presence in the healthcare sector by building strategic relationships, driving sales growth, and positioning our solutions as the preferred choice for healthcare providers.

You will be based in either Sydney or Brisbane with extensive health care experience in CSSD and Infection Control. You will be results driven, and looking for your next opportunity in a successful, expanding professional team.

Medicom is a growing global provider of high-quality infection control and patient care products. We have presence on five continents through sales, logistics and manufacturing sites. Our product line spans from dental, veterinary and industrial to medical single-use supplies, as well as a comprehensive line of oral health care products. The team is friendly, supportive and committed to success in this privately owned, expanding business.

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, your new role is integral in growing the health care sector, and specifically the CSSD area, for Medicom in Australia. Armed with solid business development plans and key account healthcare experience, you will strategically position our products to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

You will be proactive and adaptable, with a proven passion for identifying new opportunities, negotiating best outcomes and translating these to sales success. Your experience with Private and Public hospitals will support your new role.

Importantly you will thrive in working autonomously and in a collaborative environment, you will have a strong ability to influence others.  You will have an expectation that your territory has much room to grow and develop – make it your own You must be able to travel as required across your region.

The salary package includes a base salary, motor vehicle allowance and a very generous incentive scheme allowing you to increase your income substantially. You must have a reliable car and a current Australian driver's licence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders (clinical and corporate) to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Engage with CSSD and infection control departments to promote product adoption, education, and compliance with industry standards across Public and Private hospitals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to implementation, including tenders.
  • Deliver regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline development, and account strategies.

What skills and experience must you have?

  • 5–10 years proven business development / sales experience within healthcare, medical consumables, or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control, sterile services (CSSD), and hospital procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated success managing government healthcare accounts and large-scale procurement contracts.
  • Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills at senior levels (clinical and corporate).
  • Confidence and experience to introduce new customers and sales within the first 6 months
