Business Development Manager – Generators

  • Longstanding Australian-owned business with a loyal dealer network
  • Circa $140K base + Uncapped Commission + FMV + Super (previous rep earned 100K+ in bonuses)
  • Manage established regional relationships across QLD
  • Location: Brisbane (covering SEQ, Toowoomba, Mackay, 1–2 nights travel/month)

Represent an industry leader in diesel generators, pumps, and engines. Manage and grow a strong dealer network while working autonomously across QLD's regional and rural markets.

THE COMPANY

This Australian business has been trusted in the market for decades, supplying diesel generators, agricultural water pumps, and diesel engines to commercial, industrial, and rural clients nationwide. They're known for their product reliability, technical knowledge, and outstanding dealer relationships. With a supportive leadership team and a clear plan for growth, they now seek a driven Business Development Manager to help expand their presence across Queensland.

THE ROLE

  • Based in Brisbane, you'll manage a mixed territory of dealer accounts (75%) and end users (25%) across regional Queensland.
  • Your focus will be on strengthening relationships with CRT, Bushmans, Norco, Ruralco, and similar partners.
  • Identifying new opportunities with councils and regional contractors.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, relationship management, and regional travel, supported by a company that values initiative and long-term partnerships.
  • You'll work closely with the National Sales Manager and a collaborative internal support team to ensure customers get reliable equipment and excellent service.

THE CANDIDATE

  • The most important thing: Experience selling generators, pumps, or similar capital equipment into the rural or construction sector.
  • You ideally have strong relationships across Queensland's dealer and end-user network within the agricultural space.
  • You'll be a team player who's technically minded, confident on the road, and naturally skilled at maintaining trust with long-term customers.
  • A strong work ethic, professionalism, and relationship-building ability will set you apart.
