Summary:

Support is required to establish Interoperability Assurance Profiles (IAP) to develop a comprehensive data set within the communications systems employed to de-risk the delivery of mission systems. Informing Capability Review(s) in consultation with systems owners and Joint stakeholders, to identify opportunities to increase systems interoperability to maintain a resilient end-to-end networked environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and capture the current capability baseline (architecture).
  • Define and develop a high level current capability trajectory and roadmap.
  • Review / Develop operational scenarios, vignettes and use cases.
  • Capture stakeholder needs through stakeholder engagement.
  • Assess strategic alignment.
  • Explore broader defence, government and industry insights.
  • Identify drivers for change.
  • Conduct an assessment of the current capability and trajectory informed by the capability baseline and refined needs.
  • Identify gaps.
  • Develop a current trajectory paper (future state with key uplifts identified).
  • Design and agree capability target state uplifts.
  • Identify dependencies and constraints.
  • Identify and assess risks.
  • Develop high level program roadmap /schedule.
  • Explore finance and delivery options.
  • Engagement management plan
  • Stakeholders engagement plan
  • Monthly reports

Qualifications:

  • NV1 security clearance or higher.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Defence Communications and Information Systems and stakeholder community
  • Demonstrated experience in Defence Programs, Force Design, or Concept Development roles
  • Strong stakeholder management and communications skills, including the ability to interpret technical information regarding Defence Communications and Information systems.
  • Project / Program Management experience within a Defence context
  • Knowledge and experience working within the One Defence Capability System processes
  • Demonstrated experience (in relation to the Scope of Work and statement of duties) to undertake the services successfully
