General Accountant

About the company:

Pax Australia is a well-respected manufacturing group located in Ingleburn, Sydney.

Our Factory specialises in the mixing and filling of Aerosol and Liquid products for use in personal care, therapeutic, industrial and household categories for the domestic and export market.

About the Position

We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join the team on Day shift on a fulltime basis.

This is an onsite role.

This is a great opportunity for a start within a busy team. Being a specific role, it is essential that you have prior experience within a comparable role.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Responsibilities

· Maintains and is responsible for central accounting department operations including creditors, debtors and maintenance of general ledger.

· Prepares and analyses monthly management reports [including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet preparation]

· Assists in preparation of financial data for submission to external bodies as required

· Trade Credit function tasks to be completed on a monthly basis [system and insurance update].

· Ensures effective use is made of systems to improve efficiency. Helps with the development of new management information systems.

· Project work as allocated

· Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

· Ensures all journal entries are posted correctly

· Prepares monthly management report in a timely and presentable fashion.

· Ensures Trade credit data is always up to date and completed

Requirements

· Australian recognised Accounting degree

· Minimum 2 years' experience in a prior and similar role

· Experience in a Manufacturing setting

· Exposure in ERP- SAP, M3 etc

· Ability to handle a high transactional role

· Possess exceptional attention to detail
