THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and proactive?Manager - Subcontractorsto lead the engagement, coordination, and performance of subcontracted service providers delivering cleaning, laundry, and pest & vermin control services across a diverse property portfolio.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, service level agreements, and compliance requirements. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing fit-for-purpose work order management processes that support operational consistency and efficiency across teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned contract management professional with a background in facilities services, particularly within complex, compliance-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the onboarding and operational management of subcontractors delivering cleaning, laundry, and pest/vermin control services
  • Ensure services are delivered in full compliance with scope of work, technical specifications, and service standards
  • Monitor subcontractor performance against KPIs, conduct audits and inspections, and manage service delivery issues
  • Support procurement teams in negotiating and managing subcontract agreements
  • Liaise with site stakeholders to ensure access, safety, and reporting protocols are met
  • Develop and maintain standardised work order processes to support accurate intake, assignment, and resolution
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of service scopes and compliance requirements
  • Maintain auditable records of agreements, performance, and inspections
  • Deliver clear and accurate reporting on compliance, work order management, and service delivery
  • Ensure subcontractor activities comply with WHS, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Support audits and quality assurance reviews with timely documentation

ABOUT YOU

  • Experienced in managing subcontracted services within high-compliance environments such as government, healthcare, or education
  • Skilled in assuring service delivery against detailed scopes of work
  • Proficient in designing and implementing work order and service management processes
  • Strong working knowledge of cleaning, laundry, and pest/vermin control standards and methodologies
  • Holds qualifications in Contract Management, Procurement, Facilities Management, or a related discipline
  • Familiar with WHS legislation, ISO standards, and public sector compliance frameworks
