Automatic Gate Technician

- **Duties of the Automatic Gate Technician include but not limited to**:_
- Carry out various installations and commissioning of gate automation and boom gates, including some intercom and access control systems.
- Attending service visits, pre-planned maintenance, and emergency call-outs to gates and boom gates.
- Troubleshoot and repair of gates, boom gates and associated accessories.
- Reporting to the service manager and liaising with customers.
- Submitting recommendations to allow the office to generate quotations.
- Liaising with the office to relay up to date important information on field activities.
- Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- **Experience required**:_
- Install, service and repair of automatic gates and boom gates.
- Similar discipline such as automatic doors/roller shutters is an advantage.
- Australian local experience in the construction industry.
- Arc welding or electrical experience is an advantage (connect/disconnect)
- **Essential skills**:_
- Solid technical background, with understanding and hands-on experience in the automatic entrance system industry.
- A can-do attitude, flexible and positive approach is expected to help us meet and exceed our customer’s needs.
- Strong organization and time management skills - this role will require working to customer deadlines.
- Flexibility within the weekly workload and the ability to work overtime when required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Good interpersonal, organizational and administration skills.
- Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.
- Valid full Australian driver’s license
- General construction induction card (White Card)
- The right to work in Australia on a full time basis
- Must Pass Police Check
- Must Pass Working with Children Check
- Two references

Expected hours: 40 hours per week
