About the Role:

As part of our continued growth and recent project awards, NRW Civil & Mining is seeking experienced Senior Earthworks Supervisors to join our high-performing civil project delivery teams. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role, where you'll be responsible for managing earthworks crews, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

One of our major projects includes the Coastal Water Supply Sustaining Project at Parker Point, Dampier, WA. This project involves constructing ground improvements, access roads, and ancillary civil works to support the development of a new desalination plant.

To be considered for this position as a Senior Earthworks Supervisor you must possess the following as a minimum:

• Proven supervisory experience in bulk earthworks within large-scale civil or mining projects
• Experience in the operation of Caterpillar and Hitachi earth moving equipment
• A strong safety focused approach to delivering your work
• Ability to lead, develop and mentor own crew
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to drive outcomes in a dynamic site environment

As a Senior Earthworks Supervisor reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Manage and supervise the mobile plant earthworks employees and sub-contractors
• Oversee the delivery of civil earthworks in line with project plans, safety standards, and daily production targets
• Ensure safe productivity whilst meeting daily targets, including planning of work activities
• Delivery of daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
• Monitor quality and ensure the contractor meets their contractual quality obligations
• Identify and solve construction issues and communicate and resolve engineering issues with support staff
• Monitor progress of personnel and equipment requirements
• Confirm quantities and month end certificates
• Maintain a high level of safety standards at all times including leading by example to encourage safe work practices
• Provide coaching and development strategies
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications and that client requirements are implemented
