About us
We are a residential construction company based in Richmond. We have a tight-knit team of experienced personnel working on a number of high-end architectural homes. Our office is based in Richmond near Victoria Gardens and we have a small but dynamic office team.
We work collaboratively on new builds, including basement construction, renovations and extensions with clients, architects and other consultants throughout the design and construction phase to ensure the best outcome for everyone involved.
We value our working relationships and pride ourselves on the teams we assemble for each project including our loyal subcontractors we use project after project.

About the role
We are looking for a Contract Administrator to grow and develop with an increasingly successful business.
You will be working closely with the director of the business on architecturally exciting residential projects ranging from $1 to $10m in construction value. You will be joining a small experienced team in a casual office environment that prides itself on its commitment to quality and hands-on approach. Good connection with the team is essential.
This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget to the highest possible standard.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Liaise with project stakeholders - architects, clients, subcontractors and suppliers, to discuss and resolve construction matters
- Take-offs and ordering of materials
- Provide project scheduling, forecasts and cashflows
- Sub-contractor letting
- Issue project variations
- Issue progress claims
- Project cost analysis
- Estimating including compiling tender packages
- Ongoing review and improvement of processes and systems
- Maintain a high level of detail and quality control
- Problem solving throughout the entire project, finding & offering the best solutions
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 3 years' experience with a residential builder, preferably with an Estimating and Contract Administration background.
- Comprehension of Jonas Premier or similar construction software would be a very significant advantage but is not necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Project and Excel in particular)
- Experienced doing take-off using take-off software like Cubit or Buildxact
- High-end residential construction experience
- Ability to work in a small team
- Possess high levels of motivation and a genuine interest in construction
- Professional and highly driven individual with a can-do attitude
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Reliability, punctuality and flexibility
- Ability to commence ASAP
