Roy Morgan is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and results-oriented Senior Account Manager to manage a portfolio of high-value client relationships by providing market research insights utilising our suite of innovated research solutions, including Roy Morgan Single Source and the Helix Personas Ecosystem.

This position is offered as an initial 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team at Australia's most respected research organisation. Based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, you'll work directly with blue-chip finance clients across banking, insurance and wealth management and the nation's richest dataset on consumer and financial behaviour, playing a pivotal role in how leading brands connect with their audiences in more meaningful, data-driven ways.

In this client-facing role with a crucial analytical and research focus, you'll strengthen strategic relationships and deliver actionable insights through reports, presentations, and consultative projects helping clients solve complex business challenges, meet objectives, and maintain a competitive edge.

The Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value client relationships. Working closely with the General Manager and internal product specialists, you will help clients harness the full potential of Roy Morgan's data assets to drive strategy and market performance and help increase Roy Morgan's footprint in the important Financial Services vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and strengthen a portfolio of enterprise-level clients, ensuring they extract maximum value from our tools and insights
  • Deliver tailored research and strategic presentations that solve client problems and inform business decisions
  • Stay ahead of industry and market trends to proactively advise clients and identify growth opportunities
  • Championing Roy Morgan's innovative tools, especially Roy Morgan Single Source and Helix Personas to address client challenges in marketing and business strategy
  • Lead and facilitate data-driven strategic workshops with internal and client stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver seamless, high-impact client solutions
  • Maintain regular reporting, forecasting, and strategic account planning to support client success and business objectives
  • Support the General Manager in identifying and converting new business opportunities through consultative, insight-led engagement

About You

You are a client-centric, analytical and commercially savvy professional with a passion for data analysis, data storytelling and the power of insights. You excel at turning complex data into actionable outcomes, building trust with stakeholders, and driving strategic impact.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in account management, insights generation or strategic insights roles
  • A background in market research, media, advertising, or agency-side strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, including the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights using industry-standard software packages
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a natural ability to simplify complex data and deliver compelling narratives
  • Confidence in leading senior client conversations, workshops, and strategy sessions
  • A collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated working style
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders across client organisations
  • Commercial acumen and a history of growing accounts by consistently delivering to client requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, finance, communications, or a related discipline
