Position Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused FOH Wait Staff to join our café team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and deliver outstanding service to every guest. This role involves greeting and seating customers, taking orders, running food and drinks, operating the POS system, and ensuring the café floor runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, seat, and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/barista team.
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring correct presentation and service standards.
  • Operate the POS system, process cash and EFTPOS payments, and issue receipts.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and packing down the café floor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service areas, and FOH spaces.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, and escalate when required.
  • Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure efficient service.
  • Uphold café policies, health and safety, and food handling regulations.

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in using POS systems and handling cash/EFTPOS payments.
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and mornings.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences.

Position Type: Casual, Part-time, or Full-time (depending on availability)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27 – 33 per week
