Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Block Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

As a Recruiting Programs Specialist, you'll sit at the intersection of recruiting operations and coordination — supporting both the systems that keep our hiring engine running and the human moments that define a candidate's experience. A large part of your work will focus on managing complex interview scheduling across time zones, ensuring every candidate has a smooth and positive experience. You'll also collaborate with Talent, HR partners, and cross-functional teams to streamline processes, maintain compliance, and drive improvements that shape the future of our organization. You will report directly into the Global Head of Recruiting Operations.

Your Impact:

In this role, you'll be responsible for data integrity, process improvement, and tool optimization across our recruiting tech stack while also coordinating interviews, ensuring a seamless and equitable experience for every candidate. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, global environments and enjoys switching between detail-oriented execution and strategic thinking.

  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity in Greenhouse, Guide, Workday, and related systems, supporting reporting and analytic efforts.

  • Partner with Talent Enablement to deliver training and documentation that drive consistency and adoption across recruiting tools and processes.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People Operations, Legal, and Compliance to ensure hiring practices remain compliant with local and global requirements.

  • Support or lead project-based work that improves how we attract, assess, and onboard talent at scale.

Recruiting Coordination (50%)

  • Coordinate complex, multi-time-zone interview schedules across APAC and other global regions, ensuring a smooth experience for candidates and interviewers.

  • Communicate promptly and thoughtfully with candidates.

  • Partner with recruiters to anticipate scheduling challenges and proactively find solutions that minimize friction.

  • Contribute ideas to refine processes, improve efficiency, and enhance candidate and interviewer satisfaction.

  • Champion a consistent, human-centered approach to all hiring processes here at Block.
You Have
  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting operations, coordination, HR operations, or a related function.
