Azar Transport is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to assist in day-to-day fleet and logistics management. This is a permanent, full time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced team environment.

The Role/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of fleet management, transport logistics, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Manage fleet scheduling and routing to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure a high standard of service delivery by ensuring all client bookings are taken efficiently and accurately.
  • Answering inbound calls promptly and professionally, making outbound calls, working within our transport portal and attending to emails.
  • Following up and problem solving by liaising between the client, sub-contractor (driver) and Operations Team. Identifying and resolving any potential delivery issues before they impact the clients and informing them of any delivery issues or delays.
  • Job pricing, and permit/documentation processes.
  • Manage operational costs and subcontractor expenses.
  • Ensuring administrative aspects of the Operations department are accurate and deadlines are consistently met. Including the processing of job modifications, processing and filing of sub-contractor and client paperwork through our transport portal.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in logistics and transport operations
  • Solid understanding of fleet scheduling, compliance, and cost control
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Have commercial sophistication and awareness
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment
  • Have problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Be highly organised and able to manage various tasks at any one time
