The Role

This position supports the management of expenditure across the organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role will initially focus on various accounts payable activities.

The role can be either full time or part time, but the applicant must be willing to work on Fridays.

Responsibilities

·       Manage a sub-section of the accounts payable ledger:

o   Data entry and coding of invoices received

o   Scheduling invoices for payment

o   Ensuring payments appropriately approved by management

·       Receive and resolve queries from suppliers and/or staff

·       Assist other finance team members of the department as and when required

Over time additional responsibilities will be added to the role.

Expertise, experience & qualifications

·       Must have a legal right to work in Australia

·       General accounts experience with experience in accounts payable preferred

·       Telecommunications/Technology or asset-intensive industry experience highly regarded

Important skills

·       Acute attention to detail

·       Problem solving mindset with strong focus on providing excellent service to stakeholders

·       Ability to work in a team and independently

·       Work to a timeline and able to prioritise tasks

·       Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Intermediate Excel/MS Office skills

·       Experience working with ERP system financials essential
