About the role

Within this role, you will assist in concept designs through to detail documentation, site visits and spacial planning. You will be working with other lead designers in the company and reporting to the Director. This role requires strong conceptual, documentation skills, attention to details and ability to work well in a team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create innovative and functional design concepts
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements
  • Develop detailed design plans, layouts, and specifications
  • Select and source materials, furniture, and accessories
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and offer design expertise during the construction phase
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate fresh ideas into design concepts
  • Assist the team from conceptual to documentation and delivery stage of projects
  • 12 months contract role with opportunity to extend

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years local industry experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Interior Design/Architecture
  • Proficient in ArchiCad
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong conceptual skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in commercial, hospitality and retail design
  • Experience in DA, CC and CDC applications a plus
  • Knowledge in industry standards and regulations
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
