Vie Studio, an award winning multi-disciplinary design studio, is currently seeking a talented Interior Designer to join their expanding team. With a focus on commercial, hospitality, and retail interiors, this studio has garnered numerous awards for their exceptional work.

The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative and functional design concepts
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements
  • Develop detailed design plans, layouts, and specifications
  • Select and source materials, furniture, and accessories
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and offer design expertise during the construction phase
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate fresh ideas into design concepts
  • Assist the team from conceptual to documentation and delivery stage of projects
  • 12 months contract role with opportunity to extend

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years local industry experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Interior Design/Architecture
  • Proficient in ArchiCad
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong conceptual skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in commercial, hospitality and retail design
  • Experience in DA, CC and CDC applications a plus
  • Knowledge in industry standards and regulations
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
