About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the talented team at Marylou Sobel Interior Design as a Senior Interior Architect/Interior Designer. Based in the beautiful suburb of Woollahra, NSW, this full-time role will see you play a key part in the delivery of innovative and inspiring interior design projects for a discerning client base. It's a one year fixed position with the opportunity to stay on.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the design process for high-end residential interior projects, from concept development through to final installation
  • Collaborating closely with clients to understand their vision and translate this into cohesive, functional and visually striking interior design solutions
  • Overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including sourcing and specifying materials, fixtures and furnishings
  • Managing client relationships and project timelines to ensure seamless delivery
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to more junior members of the design team
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques and technologies

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years' experience as an interior architect or interior designer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential projects in Australia.
  • Strong technical design skills, including expertise in space planning, 3D modelling, materials selection and presentation. Vectorworks is a must.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks (essential), AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
  • A creative, innovative and collaborative approach to design
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in interior design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must have permanent right to work in Australia
