About the Role:

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence and team performance?

RSM Australia is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to support our Audit & Assurance division in Perth.

This is a key leadership role working closely with Partners, Directors, and Managers to drive operational efficiency, lead strategic projects, and influence positive change across the audit practice.

What You'll Do

• Resource Planning & Workforce Management:
  Collaborate with the leadership group to manage staff allocation across audit engagements, ensuring optimal utilisation and timely delivery. Use data-driven tools to monitor capacity and proactively resolve scheduling challenges.
• Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
  Partner with People & Culture to lead recruitment efforts, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions. Oversee onboarding to ensure new team members are well-integrated and set up for success.
• Performance & Development:
  Lead the performance review cycle, including goal setting, feedback collection, and promotion evaluations. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and career progression.
• Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:
  Identify and implement initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance quality, and reduce administrative burden. Lead internal projects that modernise systems and improve team productivity.
• Client & Business Support:
  Support Partners and Directors in preparing tender proposals and onboarding new audit clients. Ensure operational readiness and smooth engagement setup.
• Leadership & Change Management:
  Act as a key liaison across the audit leadership group, driving alignment on operational priorities. Lead change initiatives and influence improvements that support strategic goals. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

About You

• Proven experience in operations and project/resource management within the professional services environment, ideally within the accounting profession.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Skilled in process improvement, change management, and leading cross-functional projects.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive outcomes.
