*Job Overview/ Purpose of the Role

Job holder is responsible for providing full HR operational support for the defined markets as specified below and providing general support for Asia Pacific Human Resources in terms of HR projects and aftermarket and Operations initiatives.

Geographical scope:

  • Providing HR operational support for the following Business Unit: Australia Aftermarket including DC, Manufacturing and support functions based on site
    .
  • Total estimated Headcount: 80-100
  • Payroll Management and General HR support for Australia.

Critical accountabilities:

Responsible for supporting the business in terms of delivering the full spectrum of HR activities for the assigned location which includes but not limited to the following:

  • End to end processing of all Hourly (weekly) and Salary (fortnightly) payrolls.
  • End of month and quarterly reporting including Finance Liability Reports, Plant HR based KPIs, Payroll Tax and Headcount reports.
  • Annual processes required by legislation including Payroll End of Financial Year, Payroll Tax and Worker's Compensation reconciliations, Workplace Gender Equality Report.
  • Local Hourly and Salary recruitment.
  • Where applicable investigate, recommend and implement compensation and benefits practices to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Work closely with HR CoE support, Plant or Line Managers to roll-out Regional HR policies, processes & programs to attract, retain, develop and motivate employees.
  • Maintenance and administration of local Policies and Procedures.
  • Advise management on the implication and impact of employment issues on internal company policies by keeping abreast of inputs on industry practice, government regulations and proposing appropriate recommendations to management where required prior to implementation.
  • Assist Plant Manager by providing HR support with Employee Workplace negotiations.
  • Co-ordinate Workers Compensation Claims and be administrator for return-to-work action plans to assist Monroe employees with compensable workplace injuries/illnesses.
  • Ensure that the HR processes are executed in compliance with required Corporate/Regional guidelines and directives through periodic HR/Finance audits at site.
  • HR Support for external Quality and Environmental Audits (ISO).
  • Provide coaching, advice & support to local management and employees on HR related issues.
  • Work with SEAP General Manager to achieve back-office synergies for aftermarket and new channels where necessary.
  • Manage On the Job Training processes for plant employees.
  • Provide support on projects/initiatives within assigned portfolio:

1.HR KPIs

2.HRIS

3.Compliance training and tracking

  • Assist in collection of information/reports as and when required by Corporate/Region:

1.Ad-hoc projects

2.Trade Union and Workplace Agreement support where needed.

  • Contribute towards the implementation of HR initiatives as and when required:

1.Annual compensation review process

2.Talent Review process

3.AOP process.

  • Focal point for training & development programs:

1.Champion the rollout of sales management & leadership training

2.Responsible for supporting the development needs of employees in accordance with the inputs per their Success Factor data

3.Work with respective functional team to complete the annual Talent Review process in line with Corporate requirements & timeline

4.Ensure follow-through of action plans arising from the annual Talent Review process

5.Organize mandatory Plant training including First Aid, Forklift and Crane training.

  • Lead work process improvement where required e.g. in terms of induction/orientation process.
  • Represent company in internal and external HR meetings as and when required.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities, consistent with skills, qualifications and experience, as may be required from time to time.

*Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)

Degree holder with at least 5 years of HR Leadership experience, preferably in a generalist HR role in a manufacturing or equivalent combination of education & experience

Diploma in personnel or HR management would be an added advantage

Skills, Knowledge & Personal characteristics:

Hands on with good initiative & proactive

Mature & able to work independently

Possess high level of integrity and confidentiality

Strong team player

Ability to manage relationships with all levels of employees

Conversant with prevailing HR practices, legislation and trends in the assigned territories preferred, though not a prerequisite

Adaptability to multicultural, dynamic work environment

Result-orientated

Willing & able to travel if required
