While this role is initially intended to be a short-term position (September to February), this can be altered for the right applicant.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a range of dishes to the highest standards using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Ensuring all food preparation and cooking processes are adhered to & health, safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu specials
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment in the kitchen
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering of kitchen supplies

What we're looking for

  • Formal chef qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working as a qualified chef in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes
