About the role

Emerald Lakes Golf Club is seeking an experienced and qualified chef to join our team. As a Qualified Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes for our clubhouse restaurant and events. This is a casual role based at our location on the Gold Coast, QLD.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a range of dishes to the highest standards using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Ensuring all food preparation and cooking processes adhere to health, safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu items
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment in the kitchen
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering of kitchen supplies

What we're looking for

  • Formal chef qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working as a qualified chef in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes
