
Principal Resolution Officer

In this role you will:
- Lead and coordinate ongoing performance and continual improvement of the local resolution and conciliation functions to ensure they support the OHO to meet its strategic objectives and legislative requirements.
- Oversee complex and sensitive health complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution with a focus on a person-centred and trauma informed framework.
- Provide guidance on alternative dispute resolution strategies, while mentoring and supporting resolution team members to develop effective case management skills, including the ability to lead conciliations.
- Interpret, apply and communicate the requirements of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 and associated policy and legislation utilising sound administrative decision-making practices.
The Principal Resolution Officer position requires a qualification in conciliation or mediation to enable them to be appointed as a Conciliator under section 286 of the Health Ombudsman Act 2013 (HOA).
