Disability Support Worker – NDIS

Employment Type: Casual

About the Role:

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Disability Support Workers to join the team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to NDIS participants. The ideal candidates will have a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live independently and comfortably in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience supporting MND (Motor Neurone Disease) participants
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene and daily activities
  • Experience with PEG feeding
  • Assist with mobility using manual handling techniques such as hoists, slide sheets, and transfers
  • Perform domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, and shopping
  • Current certifications and compliance with all mandatory requirements (First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, etc.)

Essential Criteria:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Valid Blue Card
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver's licence and own transport
  • Legal right to work in Australia
  • Manual handling experience, including use of hoists and transfer techniques
  • Comfortable with personal care support
  • Minimum 12 months experience in the disability or aged care industry
  • Proficient English communication skills (spoken and written)

Availability Requirements:

  • Available for a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Able to work 4 to 10 hours per day
  • Willing to travel (please share your preferred travel distance)
  • Availability for sleepover shifts
