Flour Child Cocktail Bar & Pizzeria has recently opened up our second venue situated in the heart of Richmond and has been killing it ever since. We would describe Flour Child as a cocktail bar disguised as a pizzeria with our first venue being situated in the beachy suburb of St Kilda.

The Flour Child brand heroes the iconic Pinsa Romana pizzas and our unique cocktail bar. Our venues are carefully curated to deliver an unparalleled level of customer experience that resonates with a wide variety of people after differing demands.

Just like our signature Pinsa bases, our culture is what sets us apart. We are a team of real people, who love what we do and have a good time doing it. We work hard, play hard and have a no bullsh*t approach to how we do business.

As such we are on the hunt for a high-energy and passionate Restaurant Manager to join our tight-knit team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the below, plus there is the opportunity for genuine career progression for those interested.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Provide exceptionally high customer service to our patrons while coaching and developing other crew members to do the same
  • Run services to a high standard while coaching and developing the waitstaff to do the same
  • Work effectively with the Bar Supervisor/s and Kitchen Supervisor/s to ensure all service targets are being met and exceeded
  • Work collaboratively with the Venue Manager to build and implement sales building plans, ensuring weekly sales targets are being met and exceeded
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all function and event enquiries (phone, email, booking system, walk ins)
  • Drive a high performing culture within the team while maintaining a fun workplace environment
  • Assist with rosters and ordering as required
  • Assist with general venue administration as required
  • Ensuring selected staff are well versed with the current promotional offers for both restaurant and bar
  • Ensuring all service staff are engaged presenting the best of our food and beverage offers
  • Empowering the team to find better ways to constantly deliver quality and service that exceed our customers expectations.
  • Maintaining a strict cleanliness standard including but not limited to knowledge of food handling and hygiene.
  • Abide by health and safety procedures.

Expectations of the Role:

  • Demonstrated experience as Restaurant Manager or Assistant Venue Manager in a high-volume restaurant or bar
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring other team members and supervisors
  • Current RSA certificate
  • Flexibility to work weekends, weekdays, weeknights and public holidays
  • A genuine passion for hospitality with a proactive approach to do whatever needs doing
  • Ability to work well under pressure, keeping calm and taking control of situations as required
  • High grooming and personal hygiene standards
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and a commercial mindset
