The Opportunity

A new and exciting role has arisen for a Revenue Manager to join our Brisbane - Ann Street office on a full time, permanent basis.

The Revenue Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting teams across both Credit Control and Work in Progress (WIP) management in Ann Street.

This role is pivotal in driving the firm's working capital goals by ensuring the effective and proactive management of unbilled WIP, timely conversion of WIP to bills, and the efficient collection of outstanding legal bills.

The Revenue Manager will collaborate closely with billing teams, Practice Executives, Partners, business managers, and other finance functions to deliver exceptional client service and optimise revenue outcomes.

The Revenue Manager role sits within our broader Ashurst Service Central (ASC) Finance team.Ashurst Service Central (ASC) are a large team of experienced problem solvers who are responsible for providing services across the employee and client lifecycles. Our ASC team primarily operates out of Brisbane - Ann St and Glasgow and delivers in-house operations and transactions to support functions including People & Culture, Finance, Data & Reporting, as well as BD & Communications with a focus on a culture of continuous improvement.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in revenue management, credit control, or WIP management, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing credit control and WIP management policies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with experience leading or mentoring teams.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with practice management systems (e.g. Elite 3E) and legal billing processes.
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
