We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Process / Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive operational excellence and lead improvements across our food manufacturing operations.
This role will be heavily involved in commissioning a new production line and delivering performance enhancements across all existing lines — ensuring efficiency, product quality, and safety are continuously improved.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to an engineer who thrives on solving problems, driving change, and working closely with people across all departments.
You'll collaborate daily with Technical, Production, NPD, Quality, and Operations teams to identify improvement opportunities, streamline processes, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
The position also plays a key part in change management — not only driving process change, but helping to shift mindsets and behaviours to achieve the company's long-term vision of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver continuous improvement and process optimisation projects from concept to completion
- Play a key role in commissioning a new production line and improving all existing lines
- Analyse production workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, safety, and quality improvements
- Develop and implement SOPs and best practices to ensure compliance and consistency
- Gather, analyse, and report on production data to guide decisions and track improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align improvement initiatives across the site
- Facilitate training sessions and promote a culture of accountability and innovation
- Drive change management programs to improve both process performance and team engagement
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and manufacturing standards (HACCP, GMP, BRCGS)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or similar) — essential
- Strong experience in food manufacturing, specifically in process improvement or continuous improvement roles
- Proven success in delivering measurable process, cost, or efficiency improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent desirable not mandatory
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels
- Deep understanding of manufacturing standards and food safety systems
- A hands-on, solutions-driven approach
- The confidence to lead change and influence cross-functional teams
- Strong technical and analytical mindset
- Passion for making processes safer, faster, and more efficient
