We at City Discount Tyres – Balcatta is on the lookout for a full -time Store Manager with a strong motor mechanic background and hands-on experience in a retail environment related to tyres, wheels, or mechanical components.

This role is ideal for someone who not only understands the technical side of the job but can also communicate confidently with customers, using correct solution and recommend the right product or service to the customers.

What we offering:

Salary: $90,000 – $10,0000+ Super (negotiable based on experience)

Duties to perform:

  • Manage daily operations of the store, including inventory, Back staff, and customer service.
  • Assist customers with product selection, especially in tyres, wheels, rims, and related components like suspension & 4WD
  • Provide technical insights and advice based on your mechanical knowledge.
  • Liaise with suppliers and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Train and support staff to improve product knowledge and sales performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly store environment.
  • Achieve competitive daily sales target.

Mandate Requirements:

  • 2–5+ years of experience as a motor mechanic or in a similar mechanical/retail role.
  • Strong product knowledge of wheels, rims, tyre brands & other 4WD driven accessories.
  • Able to understand and use technical terminology confidently.
  • Previous experience in a retail or tyre/mechanic store is essential.
  • Great communication and leadership skills.
  • Capable of performing under pressure in a busy store environment, ensuring accurate and effective sales delivery.
