About the role

The Isaac Events Centre Trainee will be part of our Community Facilities team in Moranbah. This is a varied role where you'll get hands-on experience in administration and customer service while studying for a Certificate III in Business.

Your traineeship will see you:

  • Welcome visitors and assist with enquiries at the Events Centre.
  • Learn office and administration skills including data entry, filing, and correspondence handling.
  • Support the organisation of events, meetings and workshops.
  • Work with a supportive team and training provider to complete your qualification.

The role at a glance

Type: Fixed Term – 12 months

Hours: Full-time, 72.5 hours per fortnight

Roster: Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight (hello long weekends)

Who we're looking for

This traineeship is open to all ages and backgrounds – what matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.
  • Can communicate well and work as part of a team.
  • Are confident with the basics of Microsoft Office.
  • Have completed Year 10 or higher.
  • Hold a driver's licence (desirable but not essential).
