Role Overview
The Client Manager thrives in the partnerships and experiential world and is committed to getting the best results for our clients. The Client Manager is a go-getter and curious thinker with partnership management and production understanding, who people love to work with and who always find a way to make it happen.
The Client Manager loves building and maintaining relationships, shows up with good energy that fuels them to turn briefs and concepts into reality.
If you'd been working at Bastion Experience the last 6 weeks you would have:
- Lead the delivery of a brand's NRL and AFL on concourse activation. Overseeing the creative output and production of the build to bring the experience to life
- Launched a brand's AFL team sponsorship in QLD through a fully integrated campaign including activation, digital, social, ticketing, MCBs
- Run a pitch for a brand's presence at one of Australia's largest sporting events
- Taken part in a new business pitch to win the Partnership Management of Budget Directs Dolphins, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Melbourne Storm NRL partnerships
Specific Responsibilities include:
Partnership Management and Delivery
- Owner of 3-5 clients – strategy, upcoming planning, client check ins and advising when more senior relationships need to be utilised.
- Develop strong relationships with all existing clients, with particular focus on Sponsorship Managers, Head of Sponsorship or Marketing (where applicable)
- Work with SCD & GCD and take a lead role on crisis management and issues resolution with clients,
- Constantly build client relationships and always ensure excellent partnership delivery
- Along side direct report, oversee regular brand check-ins and annual reviews across all partnerships with multiple rights holders
- Ensure partnership management and delivery process continues to improve and find efficiencies where possible
Partnership Delivery
- Ability to comprehend brand/client objectives and how these relate to partnership deliverables.
- Working closely with Group Client Director, craft partnership leverage plans for brands.
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to execute partnership leveraging plans.
- Ability to manage ambassador campaigns and communication with agents and athlete
- Ability to work day to day with Rights Holders and be able to drive the best
- outcomes and results for brands
Client Management
- Support in managing and executing partnership strategies with existing and new clients
- Ensure clients partnerships remain mutually beneficial, addressing concerns and proactively seeking ways to enhance the value for existing client's partnerships
- Support SCM/GCD in analysing the return on investment for existing clients by utilising data driven approaches and making informed decision to optimise future engagement
Administration
- Complete timesheets daily
- Owner of client scope of work, fee structures and Accountability set up
- Complete understanding of all Custom Reports
- Overall responsibility for budget management and all client communication re. the budget
- Owner of job sheet, budget reconciliations and closing off budgets with finance
- Approval of invoices through Accountability
- Responsible for all client fees, invoices/payment schedules/cash flow
- Feed into structure, content and agenda for internal WIP meetings for relevant department
- Attendance in Monday morning account lead meetings
- Attendance in Monthly Capacity Planning meetings
Key Experience & Attributes
- 3+ year's experience in a client service, partnership management or similar marketing role.
- A strong understanding of the sports, arts and entertainment landscape.
- Agency production experience is nice to have, but not critical.
- Strong relationship building skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A natural operator with organisational skills to balance high pressure projects concurrently.
- Organised and driven with great attention to detail and enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
