About Us:
The Contracts and Infrastructure Branch are responsible for contract management, commercial oversight and advisory services, as well as the effective management and maintenance of all Corrections and Justice Services' prison and related infrastructure. This includes:
- The management and oversight of major contracts including the three private prisons, Port Phillip Prison, Ravenhall Correctional Centre and Fulham Correctional Centre.
- Representing the Corrections and Justice Services' interests on infrastructure and construction projects to ensure the best possible outcome for stakeholders and commercial partners.
- The development and implementation of all required systems, processes and policies to sustain this diverse asset portfolio.
About the Role:
The Contract Support Officer is responsible for preparing and issuing communications and notifications to prison operators pursuant to the agreements. The Contract Support Officer is responsible for contract administrative tasks including secretariat function for contractual meetings, processing formal communications and processing instruments of authority.
Some of your other duties will include:
- Managing the end to end processing of Instrument of Authority and Relevant Persons Certificate applications, and changes to private prison Operating Instructions.
- Undertaking detailed analysis to support conclusions relating to contractual or operational issues occurring at contracted prisons and within other contracts.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience within a high volume administrative environment and use of administrative office systems, databases, policies & processes.
- Practical experience working within a strict records management environment, ideally within a government department or a comparable authorising environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
