cape group (cape) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee providing services to people with a disability and is a Registered NDIS Provider.

Nadrasca joined with Brite in April 2025 to form cape group, a newly formed brand resulting from the merger of the two NDIS registered providers with a combined 120 years in operation across the eastern and northern suburbs.

Together, we provide a range of services for people with disability, including home and living supports, social and community participation activities, youth employment assistance, supported employment, and NDIS support coordination.

The Position

The Production Supervisor - Utility Support, in conjunction with other Production Supervisors, leads and supervises multiple production work teams, providing day-to-day operational support to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The role provides additional support to food room and plastics teams, assists team leaders, delivers vocational support for people with disabilities, and offers individual coaching to enhance team member skills and understanding, while contributing to maintaining quality accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production & Operations

  2. Set up and run production lines per job instructions

  3. Achieve production goals with required quality and efficiency
  4. Monitor and report issues affecting timelines, budget, or quality
  5. Input daily data and maintain accurate production documentation

  6. Team Supervision & Support

  7. Supervise supported team members and guide them through tasks

  8. Deliver on-the-job training and individualised support
  9. Maintain attendance records and timesheets
  10. Encourage team development and uphold NDIS Practice Standards

  11. Quality & Compliance

  12. Ensure adherence to OH&S legislation and company policies

  13. Maintain ISO 9001 documentation and contribute to audits
  14. Identify and report hazards, incidents, and safety concerns

  15. Financial & Administrative

  16. Work within approved budgets and contractual requirements

  17. Support continuous improvement initiatives
  18. Participate in training and work trial processes

  19. Stakeholder Engagement

  20. Liaise with clients, funding bodies, and community stakeholders

  21. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve operations

Qualifications and Experience


• Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability Work) or similar relevant qualification (preferred).


• Experience in similar role (preferred).


• Individuals with direct experience in working with people with a disability or vocational disadvantage will be highly regarded.

Skills and Attributes


• Comprehensive experience, skills, and knowledge in a similar area, that are brought together through a Team approach to production.


• Demonstrated ability to facilitate through group processes and the involvement of individuals in the attainment of business, employment and training objectives and outcomes.


• Ability to work with the Service Delivery and Training teams to implement and operate a variety of elements of the Australian Vocational Framework System.


• Ability to train supported team members.


• Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience within a similar Industry and its products, processes, and procedures.


• Ability to adhere to tight timeframes, maintenance of quality assurance standards and meet and exceed the customer's requirements and expectations.


• Ability to communicate and work with other Production Supervisors, Production Manager, Senior Operations Manager – North, and GM Employment to practically implement and attain strategic corporate objectives and outcomes and the strategic objectives and outcomes of cape.


• Sound knowledge and practical application of occupational health & safety standards and processes that will ensure a safe working environment for all team members at cape.


• Extensive and demonstrable experience in the operation and maintenance of packing facility requirements related to relevant industrial specifications and occupational health & safety standards and legislation.
